Dear Beloved Citizens and Children of God:

This is a message from Our Lady of Guadalupe Charity Hospital, formerly the nonprofit Tri-City that provided the only access to medical services on the Southeast corner of Dallas.

I ask your help to allow me to serve you as a Charity Hospital, providing over $75 million in medical services before I was closed by out-of-state owners who abandoned me to neglect for over a decade.

My solid buildings and structures were taken over a few years ago by generous supporters who donated millions of dollars for renovations to restore local ownership and management.

These caretakers created paid jobs to repair vandalism and involve the community in this landmark project, so I can be expanded into a full service hospital to serve in a greater capacity than before.

By teaching local residents, leaders and medical providers to manage health care directly, this saves and generates millions of dollars per year to ensure sustainable jobs and financial self-reliance, in addition to restoring medical services to populations most in need.

My goal is to provide equitable access to health, healing and medical care at cost.

To uplift your local economy and community, by uniting a dedicated team of community leaders and medical professionals and providers with the surrounding families I was built to serve.

However, because the pandemic shutdown disrupted and delayed the renovation plans, Dallas municipal Judge Michael Acuna has ordered my demolition.

Despite spending $4 million in nonprofit dollars to remove asbestos, and designing cost-effective plans for renovation that qualify for $100 million in funding to fulfill my dreams of serving once again.

The Judge did not see the value I offer to you the people and economy of Dallas, but only saw past damages that took too long to address, before the nonprofit developers took ownership and started correcting the problems, even through pandemic delays.

I plea to you, the people of Dallas and throughout the Great State of Texas, to join in support of saving me, Our Lady of Guadalupe Charity Hospital, located at 7525 Scyene Road.

Your signature of support, and any donation big or small, will help send a positive message to the City of Dallas on behalf of the nonprofit volunteers, community residents and church leaders, and medical doctors with dreams of serving the public and the poor with charitable health care by owning and managing these programs directly.

Please help make these dreams come true.

Instead of being demolished by a judge who doesn't believe five years is fast enough to renovate a $100 million hospital in a region otherwise deprived of medical access.

Yours truly, Our Lady of Guadalupe Charity Hospital
